DescriptionBlack-and-white photograph of engine #5 by Danforth Cooke & Co. Manufactured in Paterson, New Jersey between 1852 and 1926, this engine was likely shipped by sea to California. As early as 1851, locomotives were ordered and shipped to California. Cooke merged with ALCO in 1901.
